Commercial Pilot License

Getting a commercial pilot's license allowes you to be employed by an operator and earn a salary as a pilot. It is not necessary to hold a private pilot's license prior to training.

Training is offered on Hughes 300CB and Robinson 22 helicopters. Type ratings are also available on other helicopter types (see Type Ratings).

Pre-requisites

  • Minimum age : 18
  • Category 1 Transport Canada medical certificate 


    Duration of training : 7 to 8 months (approximate)

Groundschool : 150 hours*(maximum)

Flight training: 100 hours (minimum)
